What are coconut soy wax melts, and how do I use them?

Coconut soy melts are small, scented wax pieces designed to fill your home with beautiful fragrance without a candle flame. Simply place 1–2 melts into the top dish of your electric or tealight burner. As the wax gently warms, it releases a cosy, long-lasting fragrance that transforms your space.

How are they different from scented candles?

Wax melts offer a lovely alternative to candles. Because they melt at a steady temperature in an electric wax warmer or tealight warmer, they often release fragrance more quickly and more strongly. They’re also a great flame-free option when used with electric warmers, giving you a beautiful scent without a wick or an open flame.

What are they made of?

Our melts are handcrafted from a premium blend of natural coconut and soy waxes. This combination melts smoothly, holds fragrance beautifully, and creates a clean, gentle scent throw. We pair our wax with carefully selected, high-quality fragrance oils and essential oils for a delightful aromatic experience.

What kind of fragrance oils do you use?

We use high-quality fragrance oils and natural essential oils that are thoughtfully formulated, 100% phthalate-free, and safer without compromising scent quality.

Are they vegan-friendly?

Our plant-based wax blend and fragrance oils are 100% vegan-friendly. No animal-derived ingredients are used in any of our melts.

What are the white patches on the coconut soy wax melts?

Those white patches are called “frosting,” and they’re completely natural with coconut soy wax. Frosting happens when the wax tries to return to its natural state. It’s a sign of pure, natural ingredients and won’t affect the performance or fragrance of your melts.

Here are a few important things to know:

Frosting is normal and harmless. It does not mean the melt is old or damaged.

It won’t affect the scent or performance. Your melts will still smell just as beautiful and melt just as smoothly.

It’s actually a sign of using natural ingredients. Frosting is a hallmark of genuine plant-based wax, free from synthetic stabilisers.

Every batch is handmade, and slight variations like this are part of the charm of natural wax products. We hope you enjoy the beauty and uniqueness of each melt as much as the fragrance it brings to your space.

How much should I use?

Most wax warmers only need 1–2 cubes at a time. Start with one, then add another if you prefer a stronger scent. A little goes a long way with coconut soy wax melts.

How long does the fragrance last? 

Each wax melt can provide several hours of beautiful fragrance, depending on the scent, room size, and the wax warmer's temperature. Some lighter fragrances may fade sooner, while stronger ones can last even longer.

Why is there white smoke when I melt my wax melts?

Seeing a little white smoke or vapour when you first warm your wax melts can be completely normal. This usually happens when:

  • The burner is very hot, causing the fragrance oils to heat quickly
  • There’s a high fragrance load, which can create a brief vapour as the scent begins to release
  • Moisture in the air mixes with the warm wax, creating a light mist-like effect

The important thing to know is:

  • It’s not harmful, and it doesn’t mean anything is burning.
  • It doesn’t affect the quality or safety of your wax melts.

The “smoke” you’re seeing is typically just fragrance vapour or a tiny bit of steam — especially common during the first few minutes of melting or when using a high-temperature burner.

To minimise this, you can try:

  • Using an electric wax melt warmer or one with a lower heat output
  • Ensuring the burner dish is clean before adding new wax
  • Allowing the burner to warm up gently

Your melts are still completely safe to use, and the vapour should settle quickly as the wax reaches a steady temperature.

Do they evaporate or disappear when warmed?

Coconut soy wax melts are generally considered safe for pregnant women when used in moderation in a well-ventilated area. However, pregnancy can make women more sensitive to smells, and some may experience nausea or headaches from strong fragrances.

For full peace of mind, we strongly recommend checking with your healthcare provider for personalised advice, as every pregnancy is unique and sensitivities can change, especially if you have fragrance sensitivities or specific medical concerns.

Are they safe to use around pregnant women?

Yes — when used safely. Keep the wax warmer on a stable, heat-resistant surface where children and pets can’t reach it. Never leave a wax warmer unattended and make sure cords and tealight candles are out of the way.

What are giclée prints?

Giclée prints are high-quality art prints created using professional inkjet technology. They’re printed with long-lasting archival inks on premium, museum-grade paper. This gives each print exceptional colour accuracy, rich detail, and a beautiful, soft texture—perfect for artwork, typography, and scripture prints meant to be treasured for years.

Where are your prints made?

All of our prints are designed and printed right here in New Zealand. We work with an NZ-based professional printer who specialises in fine-art giclée printing to ensure every piece is beautifully produced.

 

Do they come with frames?

No, our prints do not come with frames. This allows you to choose a frame that best suits your home and personal style.

What sizes are available? How are the prints packaged and shipped?

Our prints are available in the following sizes:

  • A4, A3, A2, and A1

Your print will be professionally packaged to ensure it arrives in perfect condition. Depending on the selected size, it will be shipped in a protected flatboard package or strong cardboard tube to keep them safe during transit.

Each order is handled with care, so your artwork arrives ready to frame and enjoy.

Can you put my favourite Bible verse on one of the available designs?

We would be happy to add your favourite Bible verse or Christian quote to any of our available designs. Simply choose preferred design and let us know the verse or quote you’d like included.

Orders and Shipping

How soon will my order be processed?

For our coconut soy wax melts, orders placed before 12 pm on a working day (Monday–Friday, excluding public holidays) will be processed and dispatched the same day. Orders placed after 12 pm will still be processed the same day, but may be dispatched the next working day.

Giclée prints are usually processed within 1–3 working days. Processing times may be slightly longer depending on the current workload of our NZ-based professional printer. If there is a delay, we will notify you as soon as possible.

How much is shipping?

Our shipping cost covers packaging and delivery in New Zealand.

Non-rural Shipping Rate: $9.95

Rural Shipping Rate: $16.95

Do you offer Click and Collect?

Not at the moment, but we’re planning to offer Click & Collect in the near future. For now, all orders are shipped directly to your delivery address. Stay tuned for updates!

When will I receive my order? 

For non-rural New Zealand-wide addresses, delivery is typically 1–4 business days after dispatch.

Rural delivery may take up to 4 business days longer, bringing the total to 3–8 working days.

Please note that these delivery timeframes are estimates provided by our courier partner, and delays may occur due to weather, public holidays, or busy periods such as Christmas. We thank you for your understanding and patience.

 

Wrong or Incomplete Name or Address

Please ensure your name and shipping address are correct at checkout.

Please contact us immediately via the Chat Button or Contact Form on our website if any corrections are needed:

  • If your order has not yet been dispatched, we can update your shipping details
  • If your order has already been shipped, we will not be able to make any changes
  • Orders lost due to erroneous name and/or address are not eligible for a refund or replacement
  • If a parcel is returned to us due to an incorrect name and/or address, we can resend it, but additional shipping costs will apply.

Returns and Refunds

Change-of-Mind Purchases

Due to the nature of our handmade coconut soy wax melts and print-to-order giclée prints, we do not accept returns or offer refunds for change-of-mind purchases. Please be sure of your order and check it carefully before completing your purchase.

Incorrect or Damaged Items

If your item arrives damaged or incorrect, please contact us within 14 days of receiving it - this is from the date our courier partner delivered your order.

To help us resolve the issue quickly, please provide:

  • Your order number
  • Clear photos of the damaged or incorrect item(s) and the packaging they arrived in, so we can assess the issue and arrange a replacement or refund where appropriate.
Conditions for Returns
  • The customer must contact us first for return instructions via the Chat Button or the Contact Form on our website. Any items returned without prior communication will not be eligible for a replacement or a refund.
  • Proof of purchase
  • The item/s must be unused, unopened, and in their original packaging
  • The customer is responsible for the shipping costs to return the item(s), unless due to an error was made on our part.
Refunds

Refunds are issued only for damaged or incorrect items when a replacement is not possible.

Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you of the outcome.

If approved, the customer will be refunded the amount paid for the item(s) to their original payment method, including the original shipping cost paid.

Please allow several business days for your bank or payment provider to process the refund, complete the transaction, and for the refund to appear in your account.
